The content listed below is non accessible for the following reasons:
a) Non-conformity with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
After running an external test of the website of the Umweltbundesamt GmbH www.umweltbundesamt.at in October 2020, the following content on the website www.ceip.at has been identified as not compliant with WCAG 2.1:
- The colour contrast of some elements is not sufficient
- Structure of headings partly not suitable
- Some HTML errors that are of relevance to accessibility
- Some tables have not been implemented in an optimal manner
Improvements are constantly being added to the website in the area of contrasts and tables.
b) Disproportionate burden
There are currently no issues under this item.
c) Content that does not fall within the scope of applicable legislation
The Revised mandate for Centre on Emission Inventories and Projections (ECE/EB.AIR/144/Add.1) lists as the functions of the centre to make reported data accessible to public on the web. This includes the Informative Inventory Reports of the Parties to the CLRTAP Convention. These reports are mostly not barrier-free. For example, these PDF documents are not tagged and therefore cannot or only insufficiently be accessed or used by screen reader users. The WCAG success criterion 4.1.2 (name, role, value) is thus not fulfilled.

The conformity of this website with the Web Accessibility Law (WZG, Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz) was evaluated following an external test of the website of the Umweltbundesamt GmbH www.umweltbundesamt.at which was carried out in July 2020 in accordance with the requirements of EU Directive 2016/2102 at the WCAG 2.1 AA level of conformity. Content on individual pages is checked regularly by web content editors when new content is published.

Complaints processed by the FFG are usually about potential violations of the Web Accessibility Law (Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz, WZG), most notably shortcomings in compliance with the requirements of web accessibility that are identified on websites of Austrian public sector bodies or any institutions that belong to them. Should your complaint be justified, the FFG will formulate recommendations for action to be carried out by the party concerned and suggest measures to remedy the existing shortcomings.
